Vase
This vase was made out of newspaper, an old glass vase, flour, and water. It was very simple to make this vase. When you have the materials listed above, clean the vase out. You can make the glue used for this by mixing 1 cup of flour and 1/2 cup of water together, if you need more, then double the amounts. Once this is made, rip the newspaper into strips of any length and width you would like. When you have the newspaper ripped up, then put the strips in the glue one at a time and place them on the vase where ever you please. Smooth out the piece when you put it on the vase. Make sure to cover up every spot on the vase. I would suggest doing two layers as to insure all spots are covered. You can line the vase with a liquid liner that would secure the paper on better and protect the paper from ripping. It cost only about $3 to make this vase.

Chalk Board
This chalk board was made out of wood and 3 different colored chalk paint. This is probably the easiest out of any of the materials on this page. Once you have the materials need for this project, make sure there are no tags or objects on the wood. All that you have to do to the wood to make this is to paint the paint chalk on to the board and make designs with any other colored paint chalk you want. It took about $16 to make this project.

Inspirational Pieces
These inspirational pieces were made from old glass bricks and paint. Before you do anything clean off both of the glass bricks, I did not clean off one of them and it turned out with the paint moving (as you can see in the slideshow to the left). After that you can paint them any way you want, whether one color or multiple. If you want to have writing on them, like you can see in one of them in the slideshow to the right, you can use anything that has a blunt tip, then you can just write anything you want on there. It took about $13 to make these inspirational pieces.

Coasters
These coasters were made from newspaper and glue. To start this project you will take a piece of newspaper and start at one corner. You will start to roll up the newspaper from this corner, gluing it at the end. Then you will start to wind the newspaper around itself to make the circle design. This most likely will not be long enough to make a whole coaster so just glue to end and make another newspaper roll, and add it on where the other ended. Keep doing this until you have it as large as you want and as many as you want. It took about $1.75 to make

Candles
These candles were made from 3 old teacups, melted crayons, yarn, a metal can, and paper towel. Before you do anything, clean out the 3 old teacups and the metal can. Then you will start to unwrap the crayons from the paper, you will need a lot of these. Once all the crayons are unwrapped, put them into the metal can and add a scent if you want, I personally added some perfume into the crayons. You will boil some water in a large pot. Once the water is at a boil, put the metal can into the boiling water, making sure no water goes into the can. Let this stay in the water until all the crayons are melted and then pour the wax into the teacups. Before the wax dries, place the paper towel strip and yarn strip next to each other in the wax, this will be your wick. Keep doing this until all your candles are full. I personally put my candles into the fridge to cool faster. It cost approximately $4.97 to make.

Earring Holder
This earring holder was made out of a statue and some nails. Once you have all the materials listed, all you have to do is hammer in the nails in the places you want on the statue. It only took about $20 to make.

Mirror
This mirror was made out of an 18 inch circular wreath holder, 12 inch circular wreath holder, paper, spoons, hot glue, paint, a mirror, and the backing of a hanging mirror. To start this project, you will need to cut the spoons so that the handle is detached from the rest. Then put the 12 inch wreath holder inside of the 18 inch one. To connect these two, use a few of the spoon handles and glue. Once the glue is dry, turn the base over and fill the hole where the spoon handles are with paper, gluing this on. Once this is dry you can start to put the curved part of the spoons on to the base, using the holes on the 18 inch wreath holder as a guide to where the outer rim spoons should be placed. then just fill in the whole base , leaving the hole open still. You will want to let this dry for a day or two checking everyday on whether or not all the spoons are securely on. Once these two days are up, you will want to paint the spoons, I would personally suggest spray painting it. I painted each spoon one by one and it took three days minimum. If you want a few to be a different color you can paint those separately. Let these dry for one day before you paint them with a second coat, again let this dry for a day. Once you make sure the spoons are dry, you can now attach the mirror. Attaching the mirror was probably one of the hardest parts. You need to make sure you have the right glue and right sized mirror, I hot glued it and had to try and keep the glue hot and a 16 inch mirror, on the same side you glued the handles of the spoons on to. Then put the mirror in the glue making sure it is evenly placed. Let this dry as well, I put glue around the edges of the mirror though to make sure it stayed. Now you should only have the back of a hanging mirror left over. You will glue this on to the back of the mirror for this will be how you hang your mirror. Let this dry and your mirror should be complete. It only cost about $54.36 to make.
