Out of the 34 citizens who took the survey, 19 of them do not upcycle and 15 do. When correlating this to Arrowhead High School, about 1,286 students would not upcycle while 1,014 would upcycle out of the 2,300 students. With Arrowhead being in the Hartland community, which has 9,183 citizens, and correlating the data collected from the survey, about 5,133 citizens do not upcycle while only about 4,050 citizens would upcycle. Before going on to county, state, country, and world statistics, this data can be seen to have a major impact on the environment when knowing that the average upcycler can only upcycle about 1 ton of textiles a year. When looking at how many people do not upcycle, there would be 102,660 tons of CO2 being admitted into our atmosphere that could easily be reduced. Now the Waukesha county has 393,843 citizens, which would mean that 220,158 citizens in the Waukesha county area do not upcycle. This means that only 173,684 citizens would upcycle. As for the Wisconsin citizens and statistics, which has 5,742,713 citizens, 3,210,176 citizens would not upcycle while 2,532,536 would upcycle within this community. Now as for the larger population areas, for example the Untied States or the World, would be harder to figure out due to the fact that many places do not know or have ever heard of upcycling.
